    Parents Plus is an evidence-based organisation that provides a range of services and professionals in Ireland and around the world.

    Our goal is to support professionals with the tools to help parents and caregivers in raising resilient, confident, and happy children and young people.

    At the core of the Parents Plus approach is a commitment to research and evidence-based practice. We believe that the best way to support professionals is to provide programs that are based on the latest research and best practices in the field of child and family psychology.

    If you are a qualified professional working with families and children and would like more information about our programmes, please join us for our online Information Sessions in May 2023.  Here you will find out more on our programmes and training from our senior trainers and you will have the opportunity to ask questions throughout.

    Working With Parents – A 2 module Solution Focused and Strengths-Based Workshop 21st & 23rd October 2024, 9.15am-1pm

    Solution Focused and Strengths-Based practice are part of the theoretical foundations of the Parents Plus approach to working with parents. This fun and interactive workshop for practitioners who have completed training in one or more of the Parents Plus programme aims to unpack Solution Focused and Strengths-Based Practice in more detail and enable participants to develop their skills further. We will cover topics such as how to developing solution focused questions and how to navigate and learn from challenging conversations.

    This workshop will be delivered online, via Zoom, by senior Parents Plus facilitator trainers. It is open to all practitioners who have trained in at least one Parents Plus Programme. There is no requirement to have experience of delivering a Parents Plus course in your organisation. Bookings must be made directly here https://www.parentsplus.ie/training/

  • Join us for our Working Things Out, Workshop Format, Advanced Facilitator Training in May 2020

    Working Things Out Workshop Format, Advanced Facilitator Training, The Lucan Spa Hotel, Co. Dublin, 01/05/2020.  Cost: €60.

    Are you already trained in the Working Things Out programme? You may be interested in using the programme material to deliver “Mental Health and Wellbeing” workshops within your service, school or youthwork setting.  This half-day advanced training will provide you with the skills, structure and material to engage young people in the brief workshop format. It will also focus on creative engagement skills and how best to get your young people talking about mental health topics and reaching out for help when they need it.

    The session will be facilitated by Eileen Brosnan (Parentsplus), along with Sinead Corbett and Michelle Reilly who are both experienced  facilitators having delivered Working Things Out workshops to over 1000 teenagers in County Clare since 2017.
